With a unique location nestled between the Northern Pennines hills and the Lake District mountains, Penrith and the hinterland is a fabulous place for recreation. Whether it is high energy sports, or low energy activities there should be something that piques your interest.

50+ Badminton

We are a small, friendly group (12 in no.) who meet on Monday mornings, throughout the year. We play at Penrith Leisure Centre for an hour, from 10 am to 11am.  We welcome new members. The cost per session is £1.50. (Please note, the centre does not allow black-soled shoes).

Eamont Bridge Scottish Country Dance Club

Scottish Country Dance Classes: every Friday afternoon, 11 January-25 April 2008, 2pm to 4pm at Eamont Bridge Village Hall, near Penrith. £1.00. Beginners welcome. No need to bring a partner.

Eden Indoor Bowls Club
Come and play everyday at Penrith Lesisure Centre's permanent indoor national size bowling green.  Full details are available from lesiure centre reception.  £35 per year to join, or pay and play for just £1 during August.  All welcome including children over 7.

Calligraphy group meeting monthly at the United Reformed Church. 2nd Saturday each month (not July, August) 10am to 4pm. Self help and support with 3 or 4 tutors during the year. projects and exhibitions. All levels experience welcome.
