Eden Housing Association

Eden is an established Housing Association providing over 1,500 homes for affordable rental in the Cumbria district of Eden, rural Carlisle and Allerdale.

We provide a range of accommodation and services to meet the needs of young single persons, couples, families and older persons and the homeless, and including specialist provision with support. We are committed to resident involvement and continue to expand our community development activities, working with a range of partners.

To date we have developed over 300 affordable homes for rental and low cost sale through new build, conversion and acquisition, to meet a range of needs. Through our programme our aim is to provide a minimum of 50 new homes per annum. We very much welcome approaches from businesses, landowners and other interested parties who may wish to assist us in achieving our objectives.

Eden Housing Association was established in 1997 with the transfer of Eden District Council’s 1500 homes. Since then we have grown and spread our operations and now provide accommodation in the Allerdale, Carlisle and Eden districts as well as manage homes in South Lakeland and other locations within Cumbria on behalf of Mitre Housing Association.

Approximately one half of our homes are located in Penrith, where our head office is located and from where our operations are directed.
