Penrith
home to fifteen thousand people and supporting
a hinterland of villages and hamlets has a great
deal to offer to the locals. Besides situated
in a truly beautiful county, Penrith is near
to the Lakes with out being dominated by their
popularity, and has the tranquility of the Eden
Valley next door.
If you are not into
the great outdoors and take no pleasure in the
abundance of walking, cycling, fishing, canoeing,
just to name a few pleasures, then there are
many other things to keep you busy. There are
several gyms and swimming pools in the town.
A climbing wall, rugby club, football pitch,
golf courses, clay shooting, churches, museum,
play house, pubs, clubs, cinemas, college, as
well as a whole variety of clubs and groups
to join, from art and crafts, music and dance,
acting and singing, sporting and other hobbies.
Finding something to do has never been easier.
Don’t forget the town
centre and all the shops, is it time to re-explore
the town and have a proper look around and what
there is. There may not be an abundance of high
street names but there are many shops that really
are different and are full of unexpected treasures.
