Penrith
Partnership promotes urban and rural regeneration
in Penrith and its hinterland and operates all
of its projects from 1-2 Bluebell Lane in the
heart of Penrith. Penrith Partnership is a Company
Limited by Guarantee with charitable objectives.
Penrith Market Town Initiative
(MTI) is a community-led regeneration scheme
for Penrith and the rural area it serves run
by Penrith Partnership. It is funded by the
Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA),
Cumbria County Council and Eden District Council.
As well as the town itself,
the Penrith MTI area includes the parishes of
Great Salkeld, Langwathby, Brougham, Clifton,
Yanwath and Eamont Bridge, Catterlen, Hesket,
Skelton, Castle Sowerby, Ainstable, Lazonby,
Kirkoswald and Renwick, Glassonby, Hunsonby,
Ousby, Culgaith, Milburn, Newbiggin, Kirkby
Thore, Temple Sowerby, Morland, Cliburn, Sleagill,
Newby, Thrimby, Little Strickland , Great Strickland
Sockbridge and Tirril and Greystoke, Dacre,
Lowther, Askham, Bampton, Barton, Martindale,
Patterdale, Matterdale, Hutton, Threlkeld, Shap,
Shap Rural and Mungrisedale.
The Northwest Regional Development
Agency (NWDA) leads the economic development
and regeneration of England's north west and
is responsible for:
