Road
Penrith is situated at junction 40 of the M6
for those travelling from the north and south.
The A66 trunk road running east and west passes
south of Penrith, no matter which direction
you are travelling from the route into Penrith
the heart of Cumbria is direct and straight
forwards.
Air
There are six airports with in a two hour drive
of Penrith, Manchester, Liverpool, Durham Tees
Valley, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Prestwick and
with drive times of under one hour there is
Blackpool and Newcastle airports offering international
and internal flights.

Parking
There are 570 pay and display spaces within
6 car parks in Penrith, all within easy walking
distance to the town centre.
A disc system also operates for on street parking
(Cumbria wide). A disc must be shown at all
times and different parking times are allowed
in different areas. Discs are free of charge
and are available from most retailers. To take
